The Mapex Mars Birch Bop set comes with an 18-inch kick drum, a 10-inch mounted tom, a 14-inch floor tom, and a matching 14-inch snare drum, all wrapped in a slick Blood Orange Sparkle finish that looks as good as it sounds. The Mapex Mars Birch MA486S includes the SONIClear Bearing Edge, which lets the drumhead to lie flatter and make greater contact with the shell. This results in a stronger and deeper fundamental pitch, easier and more consistent tuning, and a far wider tuning range. The SONIClear tom suspension also improves overall resonance by retaining vibration in the shell and removing stress from the tension rods, allowing the heads to remain in tune.
